The Red Rain
"The red rain" is a tribute to all Palestinian civilians who have been martyred after and before Oct. 7, 2023. Portraits shown on the wall are limited to a small number of victims. The number of red water droplets that make up their faces is an estimate of the number of Palestinians who have been sacrificed during each life. We imagine that the lost lives bloomed as poppy anemones, which are native to Palestine, symbolizing the relationship between the land and the people. Finally, the Red Wall and the Moment of Silence honor the more than 33,000 innocent Palestinians who lost their lives in conflict and violence. Find out the names and stories of the martyrs shown by the book. We ask that you remember their names and tell their stories.
